Jamshedpur, July 17: Tata Steel Zoological Park committed to promoting environmental education and conservation efforts. In continuation to this, Tata Steel Zoological Park organised a seminar on “Snake Identification and Preventive Measures” in celebration of World Snake Day.

The program began with a fascinating talk by Rahul Tiwary from Sumansa, an NGO-dedicated to wildlife and nature conservation. The main objectives of program were to inform the students about the various kinds of snakes (venomous and non-venomous) that may be found in the Jamshedpur area, their significance to the environment, and the essential safety precautions that should be taken when handling snakes. 70 girl students with 2 accompanying teachers from a rural school -Birsa Memorial High School, Sarjamada, Jamshedpur attended the seminar.

The students were also given a guided tour of the Tata Steel Zoological Park in addition to the session. They were able to see a variety of animal species up close on this trip, which improved their knowledge of animals and helped them develop a deeper appreciation for the natural world.
