Tata Workers’ Union office closed till May 6

Jamshedpur: The Tata Workers’ Union office will remain closed in view of the growing outbreak of the second wave of Coronavirus. Despite Sunday, Tata Workers’ Union General Secretary Satish Kumar Singh has issued an order in this regard. Under the new order, the union office at Bistupur Road will now be closed till May 6.

The order said that in view of the increasing infection of Coronavirus, the Government of Jharkhand has announced Health Safety Week. In view of this, the union office has been closed till May 6. Even before this, the union office has been closed thrice in the month of April. The office was closed for two days on April 5 and 6 when a union officer was first infected. It was then closed from 11 to 14 April. Then the closure was announced from 18 April to 2 May.

The order advised all union employees to follow the Covid guidelines and stay home. It has also been said that if necessary work is done, they can be called and called on duty. However, as before, the drivers and security personnel of the union will be on duty. Also, every employee who comes to the office has been asked to do thermal scanning and wash hands.
