Jamshedpur, Feb 10: Tata Workers Union new executive committee will start working from February 11 (tomorrow).
The union election and counting of votes was held between January 31 and February 1 and barring five executive committee members the 214 committee members were elected. The electoral officer of the TWU polls, Santosh Kumar Singh will be distributing winning certificates to the committee members and the 11 office bearers on February 11 at Michael John Auditorium and all the committee members will be released from their duties inside the company till the completion of the program.
Sitting arrangements with social distancing has been arranged at the auditorium for the function with a capacity of 550 seats. After distribution of election certificates the new office-bearers of the TWU will start functioning for the session 2021-24 officially and discuss with Tata Steel management on labour issues representing nearly 13,000 workers. The code of conduct which was in place for the TWU polls at Tata Steel and TWU from January 20 will also come to end after the function on Thursday.
