Jamshedpur, Feb 4: Sanjeev Choudhary, also known as Tunnu Choudhary, was elected President of the Tata Workers’ Union, thus marking this as his second consecutive term in the capacity with no opposition candidates contesting against him.
Prior to the election he was also elected unopposed as a committee member.

Shailendra Singh was elected Deputy President as he beat opposition candidate RC Jha. Satish Kumar Singh won the post of General Secretary for the third time.

Amod Kumar Dubey beat Santosh Singh for the Treasurer’s post. Amod Kumar Dubey won the post for the first time.

The elections took place for 145 out of the 214 seats in the Tata Workers’ Union Executive Committee, following 69 candidates being returned uncontested.

Several committee members, including Harishankar Singh Jogi, Bhagwan, Neeraj Navin, faced defeat in the elections.

The newly elected officials of the Tata Workers’ Union included President: Sanjeev Choudhary alias Tunnu Choudhary; General Secretary: Satish Singh; Deputy President: Shailendra Singh; Treasurer: Amod Kumar Dubey; Vice Presidents (Four): Shahnawaz Alam, Sanjay Kumar Singh, Sanjay Tiwari, and Rajeev Kumar Choudhary; Assistant Secretaries (Three): Nitesh Raj, Shyam Babu, and Ajay Kumar Choudhary.

These election results signify the continued leadership of individuals who have been actively involved in the Tata Workers’ Union, with a clear mandate from the union members.
