Jamshedpur, March 4: Noel N Tata, Vice Chairman, Tata Steel inaugurated i-RMSC (Integrated Raw material supervision centre) in the presence of T V Narendran CEO & MD , Tata Steel, in Jamshedpur on Friday.
Other key dignitaries present were D B Sundara Ramam, Vice President, Raw Material, Tata Steel, and Jayanta Banerjee, Chief Information Officer. Integrated Raw Material Supervision Centre (i-RMSC) has centralized the supervision, monitoring and optimization of mining and plant process of several plants across 15 locations of Tata Steel.
It is part of iROC( Integrated Remote Operation Centre) which also houses i-MEC( Integrated maintenance excellence centre) and i-SPOC( Integrated Sinter and Pellet operation centre) which has been operational for more than one year. Integrated Remote Operation Centre (iROC) consolidates operation into a single far-site location driving simplicity, synergy, scale, and safety.
