Jamshedpur, March 4: Jamshedpur Women’s University (JWU) organised a session on Mahila Suraksha (Women Safety) in the Bistupur campus on Saturday.
The session hosted by department of MBA was presided over by Vice Chancellor Prof (Dr) Anjila Gupta.
Sushma Khujur, officer-in-charge, Mahila Thana, Sakchi, Jamshedpur gave handy tips to students on road safety, abuse, violence and other topics.
OC emphasized on use of social media with utmost protection, dialing 100 in case of any emergency and always wear a helmet while driving two-wheeler and advised students not to drive without a licence.
Sushma Khujur urged the students to always talk to parents if any problem arises and also discuss the same with the teacher.
Students were asked to be vigilant about anything suspicious happening around and urged to inform police officials in any case.
The program was initiated by Dr Avinash Kumar Singh, Registrar, Jamshedpur Women’s University while Dr Sweta Prasad and Dr Keya Banerjee of Department of MBA, Jamshedpur Women’s University ensured the event went on smoothly.
