Tata Steel ushers in Ethics Month 2015

Jamshedpur : Tata Steel today organised the opening ceremony of the Ethics Month at Steelenium Hall inside Jamshedpur Works.

Ethics month is celebrated across Tata steel in commemoration of JRD Tata who was the icon of ethical business practices in the country. The day marked the beginning of a month-long celebration to commemorate the values of integrity, unity, excellence, understanding and responsibility – hallmark of the Tata group and its former Chairman, JRD Tata.

Anand Sen, President, TQM & Steel Business, Tata Steel graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. R Ravi Prasad, President, TWU was the Guest of Honour.

In his address to the gathering, Mr Sen shared his views on ethics saying �We should do positive reinforcement of ethics in our company. Ethics is a matter of pride for all of us. The most fundamental aspect in ethics is to do what one has promised to do.�

On the occasion, a film named �AHSAAS� depicting commonly accepted wrong practices was screened. Another film featuring employees from across different departments of the organization was also screened.

A series of activities including quiz, poster, and slogan and skit competition has been lined up for the entire month. It is for the first time that ethics month was unveiled at Kalinganagar on July 2, 2015.

On the occasion, senior officials as well as Managing Directors of Tata Steel Group Companies in Jamshedpur were also present.
