Jamshedpur: On the occasion of Global Recycling Day, Tata Steel UISL organised awareness campaigns across Jamshedpur to promote sustainable waste practices.
The campaign began with a morning session at Jubilee Park and continued in the evening at KS Link Road, engaging both morning and evening walkers. The initiative focused on waste segregation at source, home composting of wet waste, and promoting a plastic-free city.
Live demonstrations were held to show residents how to prepare compost at home using simple composting bins. The programme saw enthusiastic participation from over 500 citizens, highlighting strong public support.
Around 250 organic compost packets were also distributed to encourage eco-friendly habits. A Swachhta Signature Drive was conducted, where participants pledged their commitment to cleanliness and responsible waste management.
