Jamshedpur, March 19: A major revelation has emerged following the recovery of a mysterious iron object from the Subernarekha River at Panipara under the Baharagora police station area. Initial examination by a bomb disposal team from Ranchi has confirmed that the object is a highly powerful explosive device.
Authorities stated that the bomb is unusually large and extremely dangerous, making it impossible to handle through conventional means. In view of the potential threat, the local administration has completely sealed off the area where the device was found.
Strict advisories have been issued to nearby residents, instructing them to stay away from the site and avoid any form of contact or movement in the vicinity. Security measures have been significantly tightened, and the situation is being closely monitored by officials.
Notably, a similar incident had occurred some seven months ago near Bharampur village, close to Ashui, under the Gopiballavpur police station area in West Bengal, where an identical explosive was discovered in the same river.
At that time, the device was successfully neutralized with the assistance of Indian Air Force officials from Kalaikunda.
The administration remains on high alert, ensuring that all necessary safety protocols are in place to prevent any untoward incident.
