Jamshedpur, March 17: Tata Steel Tubes Division, a Strategic Business Unit (SBU) of the Company is under rapid growth and plans to increase its production capacity from the existing level of 1.2 MnTPA to 2 MnTPA in the next 2 years. Majority of this growth is planned through development of Tubes Manufacturing Partners (TMPs) at strategic locations across India.

In line with the growth plans of Tubes division, a new Large Dia Mill with Slitting Line facility has been inaugurated by Sanjay S Sahni, Executive-In-Charge, Tubes, Tata Steel on 10th March 2024 in association with our existing Tube Manufacturing Partner, M/s Shiv Shambhu Commercial Pvt Ltd, in Dhanbad. The capacity of the New LDP Mill is 66 KTPA, with the SKU mix ranging from 20X20 to 220X220 mm.
This is the 3rd large dia mill in the eastern region, developed to service the increasing demand in construction and infrastructure segment. With this new facility, Tubes division has surpassed capacity augmentation of around 172 KTPA in FY24.
This is the 3rd large dia facility amongst 11 TMPs across India.
