Jamshedpur, July 18: Team of Tata Steel clinched first position in the SPSB (Steel Plant Sports Board) Swimming Championship securing total 34 points.
The championship hosted by Tata Steel and organised at the JRD Tata Sports Complex saw RSP (Rourkela Steel Plant) securing Runners up position with 16 points and ISP (IISCO Steel Plant) finishing second runners up position with 15 points.
Total five teams participated in the event including Tata Steel, IISCO Steel Plant Burnpur, Rastriya Ispat Nigam Ltd, Rourkela Steel Plant and Durgapur Steel Plant
Hari Babu, Chief, LD1, Tata Steel graced the occasion as Chief Guest during the concluding function while Sanjay Kumar Singh, Vice president, Tata Worker’s Union) was Guest of Honour. Ex international swimmer Ram Balak Singh was the observer of this meet while Tata Steel Sports Department officials, Firoz Khan and Sanjay Kumar Mishra coordinated the event.
