Jamshedpur: Rajiv Kumar, Vice President (Operations) at Tata Steel Kalinganagar, has resigned from his position. He reportedly submitted his resignation to Tata Steel’s Managing Director and CEO, T.V. Narendran, on Wednesday.
Kumar’s resignation comes at a challenging time for Tata Steel. He has played a key role in the success of the Kalinganagar project and has been a prominent figure within the company. Having served Tata Steel for over 25 years, he has held various important positions, including in Jamshedpur, and is recognized for his dedication and leadership.
Confirming the resignation, Rajesh Rajan, Head of Corporate Communications at Tata Steel, stated, “Rajiv Kumar has resigned from the post of Vice President (Operations), Tata Steel Kalinganagar. We won’t be able to provide any more details as of now.”
Kumar has also informed his subordinates and union leaders about his decision. His departure marks a significant transition for the company, and industry experts are keenly watching how Tata Steel navigates this change.
Following his resignation, Tata Steel has not yet announced a successor or an interim replacement for the Vice President (Operations) role at Kalinganagar.
