Jharkhand Master Athletes return to grand welcome in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: Jharkhand Master Athletes, who delivered an outstanding performance at the 45th All India Master Athletic Championship in Bengaluru, returned to Tatanagar on March 11. The team was given a warm welcome by officials and members of the Master Athletic Association of Jharkhand and East Singhbhum.

The victorious athletes were honored with garlands and sweets as a mark of appreciation for their achievements. The reception was led by prominent association officials, including East Singhbhum Master Athletic Association Secretary Shyam Sharma, Vice President Lalan Singh Yadav, and national trainer for Divyang children, Rajkumar Singh. Social workers Bhupendra Singh and Salim Javed, along with hundreds of sports enthusiasts, were also present to celebrate the team’s success.

Under the leadership of Jharkhand Master Athletic Association President Vijay Singh and Secretary SK Tomar, the team secured an impressive 24 medals in a highly competitive event. This included 6 gold, 14 silver, and 4 bronze medals, showcasing their dedication and hard work.

Encouraging the athletes, Vijay Singh and Sanjeev Kumar Tomar praised all medal winners and participants, stating that their achievements would inspire emerging sports talents in the state. Their success reaffirmed that perseverance and dedication in sports lead to excellence.

On the occasion, Railway Officer Sunil Kumar also met the athletes and extended his congratulations, appreciating their remarkable performance at the national level.
