Jamshedpur: A road accident near Chandil claimed the lives of two youth and injured another on Sunday, plunging the Baridih area into mourning.
From Celebration to Tragedy
The deceased included 23-year-old Aman Kumar, a transport businessman from Baridih Bajrang Chowk, and 22-year-old Vikas Rajak, an employee at Bajaj Finance. Ironically, the accident occurred on Aman’s birthday, transforming a day of joy into a tragedy.
According to reports, the three friends—Aman, Vikas, and Captain Sharma—were riding a single motorcycle toward the Deori Temple to celebrate the occasion. As they reached the Chandil area, an unidentified high-speed vehicle rammed into their bike with immense force.
Immediate Aftermath
The impact threw all three riders onto the pavement, causing severe injuries. Local residents immediately alerted the police and helped rush the victims to MGM Hospital. However, doctors declared Aman Kumar and Vikas Rajak dead upon arrival. Captain Sharma, who operated the motorcycle, sustained minor injuries and is currently undergoing treatment.
Police have completed post-mortem procedures and handed over the bodies to the grieving families. Authorities have now launched an investigation to trace the unidentified vehicle involved in the hit-and-run.
