Jamshedpur, April 21: Registered employee wards of Tata Steel have here announced to go on an indefinite agitation to demand re-examination for recruitment of trainees. They handed over a memorandum of their demands to the company management on Friday.
Mohan Pandey, one of the agitators, said, “Registered employee wards have been agitating for employment in the company for the past several years. Last year, a written exam was held for their recruitment. But due to anomalies in the conduct of exam, we have demanded re-examination. Unfortunately, several employees found guilty of corrupt practices during exam were dismissed and arrested earlier, but now they are out on bail and moving scott-free.”
Pandey said the agitators would lie down on the main road near General Office Gate to register their protest.
