Jamshedpur, July 7: As part of its ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability and community engagement, Tata Steel marked Van Mahotsav 2025 by organizing a tree plantation drive at ISWP C2 Quarter, Jamshedpur, in collaboration with local journalists.
D B Sundara Ramam, Vice President, Corporate Services, Tata Steel, joined hands with the journalists in planting saplings and emphasized the collective responsibility of citizens and institutions in preserving nature. Dr. Vinita Singh, General Manager Medical Services, Tata Main Hospital and Sanjeev Kumar Choudhary, President, Tata Worker’s Union also graced the occasion, along with other senior officials of Tata Steel.
Around 300 saplings were planted during the event, reinforcing the importance of green cover and environmental awareness. The initiative witnessed active participation from media representatives and Tata Steel leadership. Tata Steel continues to uphold its commitment to sustainability and biodiversity through such green initiatives, fostering a culture of environmental stewardship across communities.

The initiative, being held from July 1 to July 7, 2025, is part of Tata Steel’s continued commitment to ecological conservation and greener futures under its sustainability campaign, “Greenovation – Where Steel Meets Sustainability.”
