Jamshedpur, March 21: Tata Steel’s West Bokaro Division Power Plant won the National Level Award for excellence in operation under the category of captive power plants (CPP) of less than 50 Mega Watts, in recognition of the outstanding achievements in exceptional unit performance, efficiency and reliability.
Council of Enviro Excellence (CEE) organized a virtual event to present the “National Power Plant Awards -2023” for operation, maintenance, modernization, and upgradation of thermal power plants.
The announcement of the winner was made during the virtual event on March 14, 2023. Senior executives were connected in the virtual event.
The CEE “National Power Plant Awards – 2023” establishes excellence benchmarks in power plants and their professionals in several key areas, including environmental performance, fly ash usage, water consumption, peaking plant load factor, oil consumption, among others.
Tata Steel’s West Bokaro Division has a 2X10 megawatt captive power plant (CPP) based on atmospheric fluidized bed combustion (AFBC) technology, which is operated on coal rejects.
