Varun Bajaj Appointed Chief of Corporate Services of Tata Steel Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: Tata Steel has announced the appointment of Varun Bajaj as the new Chief Corporate Services (Designate) at its Jamshedpur operations.

According to an official circular issued under the signature of T V Narendran, CEO and Managing Director of Tata Steel, the decision has been taken in view of the upcoming retirement of the current Chief Corporate Services, Pranay Sinha.

Pranay Sinha, an IL-2 grade officer, will retire on April 1, 2026, after completing more than 36 years of service with the company.

As per the circular, Varun Bajaj, who is currently an IL-2 grade officer and serving as Chief Town Infrastructure and Logistics, has been appointed as Chief Corporate Services, Tata Steel Jamshedpur (Designate) with effect from January 15. Following Pranay Sinha’s retirement, Varun Bajaj will formally assume charge as Chief Corporate Services from April 1, 2026.

In his new role, Varun Bajaj will report to the Vice President – Corporate Services and will continue to be based in Jamshedpur.
