Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran arrives in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, March 2: Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran received a warm welcome upon his arrival in Jamshedpur on Saturday, March 2. Chandrasekaran will pay tribute to Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata on his 185rd birth anniversary. He was welcomed at Sonari Airport by TV Narendran, MD and CEO, Tata Steel, Chanakya Chaudhary, Vice President Corporate Services, Tata Steel and others.

Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) delegation led by President Vijay Anand Moonka also welcomed Tata Sons Chairman at the airport.

The visit is part of the Founder’s Day celebrations, during which Chandrasekaran will stay in Jamshedpur for two days. The program includes various events, and he is scheduled to meet officials from the Tata Workers Union. Later in the evening, Chandrasekaran inaugurated the illumination inside Jubilee Park and paid homage to the Founder. The illumination will be in place till March 5.

This year’s theme of Founder’s Day is ‘Technology for People and Planet’.

On March 3, Natarajan Chandrasekaran and senior company officials will pay floral tributes to the Founder JN Tata inside Tata Steel works. The Chairman will also pay homage to the Founder at Postal Park in Bistupur.  There will be pageantry parade by social organisations with the theme “Technology for people and planet”. There will also be Parade by Horse Riders, Parade by NCC Cadets, Skits, Nukkad Natak etc.

Chairman, Tata Sons along with senior members of the Tata group will also inaugurate exhibition at Steelennium Hall, Jamshedpur Works on March 3.

The theme for the exhibition this time is “Technology for People and Planet”.  Later in the evening he will fly back to Mumbai.

The Steel City will pay tributes to the founder, Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata on his 185th birth anniversary. The celebrations commemorate the vision of the Founder after whom the steel city took its name over a century ago.

The celebrations this will feature the illumination of over 50 significant sites across Jamshedpur, including heritage buildings, places of worship, and roundabouts. The colorful lights used in these displays will not only enhance the city’s beauty but also serve as a reminder of the occasion.
