Jamshedpur, Nov 16: Tata Motors Union president and the Pradhan of Telco Gurudwara Gurmeet Singh Tote has been released on PR bond, sources said.

According to sources, Birsanagar police had detained Tote after one Ravi Maratha had taken his name in a firing case. Police had arrested Ravi and his alleged associate Mangal Singh in connection with the incident of firing on one Shambhu Das near Birsanagar police station on 3rd November last. Mangal had reportedly told cops Ravi had given him arms. Ravi, during interrogation, claimed that Tote had given him the contract to kill Das.

Police officials said they were investigating the case yet and hence it was premature to arrive at any conclusion regarding Tote’s role in the firing incident.
