Jamshedpur, Nov 16: District transport officer (DTO) of East Singhbhum Dinesh Ranjan launched a vehicle checking campaign at Marine Drive on Wednesday. Six heavy vehicles were seized during the drive after reported violation of Motor Vehicle Act. Some vehicles were found overloaded and not fit for plying on the roads. The DTO said it was a routine campaign. He said several vehicles were parked on the roadside, threatening safety of people. He asked the heavy vehicle drivers to park their vehicles only at dedicated parking lots.
