Tata Motors Workers Union Jamshedpur explores innovations and collaborations at Lucknow Plant

Jamshedpur, July 11: A delegation from the Tata Motors Workers Union recently undertook a four-day visit to the Tata Motors Lucknow Plant. The purpose of the visit was to observe the operations at the Lucknow facility and explore opportunities to replicate advanced practices in other Tata Motors plants. Discussions focused on leveraging new technologies to address workers’ issues effectively, enhancing coordination, advancing Industry 0.4 initiatives, and ramping up electric vehicle production.

The delegation, led by Tata Motors Workers Union President Gurmeet Singh and General Secretary R.K. Singh, was warmly received by Lucknow Plant Head Deepak Kumar and Union General Secretary Shyam Sundar Singh. During the visit, the delegation toured the electric vehicle production area and engaged in discussions concerning electric buses.

Significant emphasis was placed on understanding each other’s efforts in the context of self-directed teams (SDT), with a fruitful exchange of ideas. Discussions also included consultations on Industry 0.4, exploring its necessity and the benefits it brings. ER Officer Abhishek Nair accompanied the union delegation during their visit.
