Jamshedpur, Nov 18: Tata Cummins and Vig English School emerged champions in the inter-team and inter-school categories respectively at the Inter-Team and Inter-School Volleyball Tournament for men and boys held at the TML Sports Complex. The event was organized by the Tata Motors Sports Department.
In the inter-team final, Tata Cummins defeated Safari Royals 3–1 in an exciting match. Both sides showed strong determination, but Tata Cummins maintained the lead to secure the title. Abhishek Kumar from Tata Cummins was declared the Best Player of the tournament for his outstanding performance.
In the inter-school boys’ final, Vig English School registered a convincing win against Vivek Vidyalaya. They dominated the match from the beginning and wrapped up the final with a 3–0 victory. Ansh Kumar of Vig English School was awarded the Best Player title in the school category.
The closing ceremony took place in the presence of chief guests and special invitees including Amit Kumar Singh, Head of Tata Steel Land Department; Shashi Bhushan Prasad, President, Tata Motors Union; R.K. Singh, General Secretary, Tata Motors Union; Rajat Kumar Singh, Head of Town Administration; Awadhesh Singh, Principal of Vivek Vidyalaya; Ashish Sen; and Amar Pratap Singh from Tata Motors Town Administration.
The dignitaries felicitated the winners and runners-up and congratulated all participating teams for their sportsmanship.
