Jamshedpur, October 30. Tata Motors management has warned the employees about the demolition of 150 company quarters around Azad Market located in Telco Colony.
Notice has been issued to vacate the warehouse.
It was said in the notice that being an old quarter, these houses have been declared unsafe due to the possibility of sudden collapse of plaster and concrete. The notice issued by the town administration between Diwali and Chhath Puja has created panic among the employees.
The employees who recently shifted here from other places are looking more worried. The employees who have got their houses painted for Chhath Puja are now finding it difficult to leave their quarters.
The management has declared these quarters dangerous to live in. From security point of view, employees have been asked to vacate their quarters. The management has identified these quarters and planned to demolish them.
In the notice, employees have been asked to contact the municipal administration department to select alternative accommodation within seven days.
The management has asked the employees to vacate the accommodation within 30 days.
The company management said that these quarters are very old and unsafe to live in. Due to shortage of employees in Tata Motors, many quarters are lying vacant in this area. Where there is a gathering of anti-social elements. Therefore, it has been decided to demolish these quarters by declaring them dangerous from security point of view.
