Jamshedpur, October 30: Top leaders of CPI Maoist Naxalites along with their squads are fleeing from Kolhan forest and once again entering Saranda forest due to pressure from security forces who are constantly carrying out operation.
There is fear among the villagers after the news of a squad of Naxalites entering the forests of Kumdih area in Saranda. According to sources, Naxalites went to some villages to include new youth and children in their organization. Frightened by this, many children of the said villages have fled from the village and have taken shelter with their relatives in urban areas.
It is noteworthy that the villagers of Saranda have been facing the terror and wrath of Naxalites for almost 15 years. During this period, hundreds of their own people were killed in Naxalite incidents or were sent to jail on charges of supporting Naxalites.
Even though the police and CRPF had fought a long battle and sacrificed their lives to liberate Saranda from the Naxalites. Dozens of villagers were also killed by Naxalites on the charge of being police informers.
Development work was affected separately for 15 years. Now the villagers of Saranda do not want to accept the Naxalites at any cost.
Sources say that in Saranda, where the new settlement has been established by cutting the forests around Kumdih, Bahda, Kudliabad, Kolayburu, Titlighat, Usruiya, Hatnaburu, Ponga, Baliba, Tirilposi, Navagaon, Bitkilsoy villages, it is called Jharkhand Village or Jharkhand Goda.
The Naxalites had already realized that the police would now chase them away from the Kolhan forest.
For this reason, they have come to Saranda months ago in plain clothes and were busy searching for their old comrades and connecting new people with the organization.
However, there are already camps of about a dozen CRPF and other forces in Saranda area. Police is also alert after the news of Naxalites’ entry in Saranda. Soon, major police action can be seen against Naxalites in Saranda also.
