Jamshedpur, May 12: Tata Motors Jamshedpur Plant will witness a block closure on 16th May. A circular to this effect was issued by the Plant Head Vishal Badshah, sources said.
As per the circular, the block closure, first after grade revision agreement, is being observed according to the Memorandum of Settlement dated 31st July 2017. As per the agreement, half of the salary of employees during closure would be borne by the management and the half of it would be adjusted against leaves. The employees who would be called on the day of block closure would get separate notice from the department. Those who do not come despite being called on the day would be supposed to have availed holiday. The employees would not get holiday before and after the block closure, sources said.
