Jamshedpur, Sep 13: The annual bonus announcement may be made at Tata Motors by 16th September.
Yesteday, a meeting between the company management and Tata Motors Workers Union representatives was held to discuss the bonus and regularization issues. But no decision could be reached.
Sources said the union wants a greater number of employees to be regularized this year as compared to last year. Bonus is expected to be finalized in the next meeting.
Pressure of getting a good bonus deal has mounted on the Tata Motors union leaders after their Tata Steel counterparts succeeded in getting 20 per cent bonus this year. Tata Steel employees will also get additional cash gift of Rs 20,000 as goodwill amount this festive season. This bonus agreement is being termed as historic.
Last year, Tata Motors had announced 10.6 per cent bonus and 281 by-six works were regularized.
