Seraikela, March 23: General Manager of South Eastern Railway, Anil Kumar Mishra, paid an official visit to Sini on Monday, marking a significant push toward strengthening training infrastructure and addressing staff concerns in the region.
During his visit, Mishra inaugurated a state-of-the-art module room dedicated to auto signalling systems at the Regional Training Institute in Sini. The facility, equipped with advanced simulation models, is expected to enhance the technical proficiency of railway personnel and support the modernization of signalling operations across the division.
Divisional Railway Manager Tarun Huria and other senior officials were present on the occasion, underscoring the importance of the initiative. The General Manager was warmly welcomed by representatives of the South Eastern Railway Men’s Union, with Secretary Vishwajit Baraik presenting a bouquet.


Following the inauguration, union representatives engaged in a detailed discussion with the General Manager, highlighting several pressing issues affecting railway employees and local infrastructure. Key demands included improvement in electricity supply, restoration of ambulance services, and the reinstatement of a stoppage for the Sambaleshwari Express at Sini.


Additional concerns raised involved the repair of roads within the railway colony, construction of new railway quarters to accommodate staff, development of a boundary wall around Pampu Talab, and revision of reservation counter timings from 9:00 AM to 8:00 AM to better serve passengers.
Mishra listened attentively to all the concerns and assured that each issue would be examined with due seriousness. He directed the concerned officials to take necessary steps for prompt resolution, reflecting the administration’s commitment to employee welfare and passenger convenience.
The visit witnessed the presence of several union members and office bearers, including President Sanku Sardar, Treasurer Debashish Das, and other key representatives. The interaction concluded on a positive note, with renewed confidence among staff regarding improvements in both operational efficiency and workplace conditions.
