Jamshedpur, March 23: Ahead of the upcoming Chaitra Chhath and Ram Navami celebrations, Mango Municipal Corporation Mayor Sudha Gupta carried out a detailed inspection of Chhath ghats and key locations across the civic area, issuing clear directives to ensure smooth and hassle-free arrangements for devotees.
During the visit, she stressed the need for an intensive cleanliness drive at all ghats and instructed officials to strengthen basic facilities such as lighting, barricading, drinking water, toilets, and security. Emphasising devotee convenience and safety, she called for timely execution of all preparations.
Reviewing Ram Navami arrangements, the Mayor directed authorities to ensure proper cleaning of procession routes, undertake necessary road repairs, carry out water sprinkling to control dust, and arrange adequate drinking water facilities. She also highlighted the importance of effective crowd management to maintain order during the celebrations.
In addition to festival preparedness, Sudha Gupta instructed the Municipal Commissioner to prepare a comprehensive plan to improve water supply across the Mango Municipal Corporation area. The proposed roadmap will assess water sources, distribution systems, pipeline networks, pressure management, and future needs to ensure long-term solutions.
Reiterating her commitment, the Mayor said resolving water supply issues on a permanent basis remains a top priority, aiming to ensure uninterrupted access to clean drinking water for all residents. She also urged officials and staff to perform their duties with responsibility and dedication to ensure the successful conduct of the upcoming festivals.
