Jamshedpur, Oct 17: Inter school and Inter team basketball tournament organised by Tata Motors Sports department began at TML Sports Complex on Monday. Six teams in school category (Little Flower, Hill Top, Vidya Bharti Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Shiksha Niketan, Gulmohar and Vivek Vidyalaya) and six in Divisional categories (Indigo fighters, Nano Warriors, Prima challengers, Safari royals and Trans Axle) are participating.
V N Singh, Head- Administration & security and Rajat Kr. Singh, Head- Town Administration was the chief guest for the opening ceremony.
Ashish Ranjan Sen, Sr. Manager (Town Admin) and Vishal Kumar, Sr. Manager (Security) also graced the occasion.
Vidya Bharti Chinmaya Vidyalaya defeated Little Flower School by 36/8 points in the first match of the school category.
In the second match Hill Top beat Shiksha Niketan by 32/11 points.
In the first match of the team category Safari Royal thrashed Tata Cummins by 25/16 points. The second match saw Indigo fighters pip Prima Challengers by 28/6 points.
