Tata Motors to achieve World Class Quality Level 3: AB Lall

Jamshedpur: Tata Motors has been the leader in the commercial vehicles market. In order to maintain this position,

the company needs to ensure reduction in cost reduction, enhancement in production and supply chain and continuously increase its market share.

This was observed by the plant head of Tata Motors AB Lall on the occasion of Independence Day function organized by Tata Motors at Telco Stadium.

Addressing a gathering after hoisting the national flag, Lall said the company was steadily moving ahead on the path of world class quality. He said the company had set a goal of achieving World Class Quality Level 3.

“We are happy that our vehicles are representing the country today at national and international level. We have a capacity of manufacturing 11,000 vehicles every month. It is our priority to manufacture quality vehicles and send them to the market,” he said.

Lall said the company had the next target of manufacturing BS VI vehicles. “We are successfully manufacturing BS IV vehicles from 1st April 2017. It is our endeavour to supply fault-free BS IV vehicles,” he said.

The plant head said the company had set a zero accident goal for its employees. ‘In order to achieve this goal, recklessness cannot be tolerated. Efforts will be made to match our safety standards to the required benchmark. Mobile phones should not be used at the workplace since it causes accidents,” he said.

At the conclusion of the flag hoisting ceremony, the plant head announced names of winners of the prestigious Tata Hitachi Award.

Those awarded include J James, Ishan Bakshi, Riya Singh of Gulmohar School, Abhishek Thakur, Sarthak Sunil Jaisawal of Hill Top School, Ankit Kumar, Suptasha Dutta, Nidhi Singh of Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Telco, Shivangi Sinha, Smriti Tiwary, Astha Rani of Vivek Vidyalaya and Vandana Kumar and Archana Kumari of Shiksha Niketan.
