Jamshedpur, Aug. 16 : Tata Steel celebrated Nation’s 71st Independence Day with patriotic fervour at its Jamshedpur Works and across its locations.
The celebrations began with Mr TV Narendran, Managing Director Tata Steel India and SEA, hoisting the tricolor, which was followed by a ceremonial march past and the National Anthem.
The tricolour was also hosted by locational heads at different locations of the Company’s operations on this day. It reflected Company’s commitment towards nation building and growth and prosperity of society at large.

He announced the company’s plans to invest more in Jharkhand. ” We want to ensure development across the society. We will make major investments that will provide direct and indirect employment,” Narendran said, adding that in the past five years, the company had put in Rs 17,000 crore in Jharkhand and Odisha.
Tata Motors, plant head A.B. Lall participated in the function at Sumant Moolgaonkar Stadium in Telco.
In his address, Lall stressed that the automobile giant would continue to strive for world-class quality of vehicles and highest safety standards at its plants.
