Jamshedpur: Ankita Bhakat, a cadet from Tata Archery Academy, Jamshedpur has bagged Gold medal in mixed team World Archery Championship in Rosario, Argentina. The medal is India�s fourth World Archery Champion title across all disciplines.
Purnima Mahato, Coach, Tata Archery Academy has been instrumental in guiding and shaping the skills of Ms Bhakat. Speaking about the achievement Ms Mahato said �Tata Steel is committed towards promoting sporting activities and encouraging young talent to participate. We at Tata Steel are extremely proud and honored with Ms Bhakat�s achievement in Argentina. Archery is a very popular sport in Jharkhand and I am sure Ms Bhakat�s success will encourage more youth from the state to participate in this sport�
Significantly, Ankita Bhakat was third in the mix team event at the Asia Cup Stage-3 World Ranking Archery Tournament 2017 held from 3rd-10th July, 2017 at Chinese Taipei.

She bagged the first position both in individual and team event at the Asia Cup Stage-2 World Ranking Archery Tournament 2017 held from 7th -14th September at Chinese Taipei.
In the Asia Cup Stage 1 2017 held from 20th -27th March, Bangkok, Thailand, Ankita was placed second in the mix team event.
In the Seoul International Youth Archery Fest 2015 Ankita was placed second in the mix team event, was second in the team event while bagged the third place in the individual event.
