Jamshedpur : Tarapore School is hosting the First CISCE National Boys Kho- kho Championship in collaboration with KSMS and Gulmohur High School from 4th November to 6th November, 2023. The inaugural ceremony will be held on 4th November at the Transport Ground, Agrico at 9:30 am. The Chief Guest for the event will be Mukul Choudhari- Chief, Sports Excellence Centre Tata Steel.
Around 400 participants from 10 regions will be participating in this 3 day long championship. Games will be conducted under all three categories- U14, U17 and U19. The participating regions are Uttar Pradesh / Uttrakhand, North West, North India, Bengal and North East, Karnataka, Maharashtra / Goa, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh / Telengana, Tamil Naidu and Bihar Jharkhand.
33 technical officials from Kho-Kho Fedration of India ( KKFI) will be overseeing all the games to be conducted in the national tournament.
The selection process of students for School Games Federation India (SGFI) will be conducted during these games. Mr. Sujoy Biswas will be the CISCE observer for these games. From this year the CISCE council has decided to finance all Regional and National sporting events to be conducted by the CISCE schools. This is a huge step to promote sports and games among the youth of the nation.
