Jamshedpur DC’s initiative ensures educational opportunity for Bhavani Das

Jamshedpur: In a commendable move towards fostering education and addressing the concerns of the community, Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri has taken a proactive step to enroll Bhavani Das of Bodam in KGBV Patmada.

The decision came after a heartfelt appeal from the family during a Janata Darbar session on October 31. A group of craftsmen from Andharjhor village in Bodam block presented various public issues to Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri. Among them, the grandfather of Bhavani Das highlighted the challenges faced by his granddaughter in pursuing her studies.

Bhavani Das, a diligent student, had encountered obstacles in continuing her education after completing her 10th grade at Workers College. The family expressed their inability to support her studies due to the considerable distance of about 10 kilometers that she had to travel daily. This posed financial difficulties, leading her to contemplate discontinuing her education.

Responding promptly to the concerns raised, the Deputy Commissioner recognised the urgency of the situation. He immediately instructed the Education Departmental Officer to facilitate the enrollment of Bhavani Das in the residential school KGBV Patmada.

Today, on November 3, the enrollment process was successfully completed, providing Bhavani Das with an opportunity for quality education in a residential setting. The decision was met with joy and gratitude from Bhavani Das’s father, Dayamoy Ruhidas, who expressed his appreciation for the swift action taken by the District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner.

Bhajantri reaffirmed his commitment to addressing the educational needs of the community and ensuring that every deserving student has access to quality education. This initiative not only reflects the administration’s dedication to resolving public issues but also showcases the power of proactive governance in transforming lives and building a brighter future for the residents of Bodam.
