Swarnarekha river worshiped on Makar Sankranti

Jamshedpur : As part of the Makar Sankranti celebration, Swarnarekha Vikash Trust and Yugantar Bharati organised the Swarnarekha Festival on Thursday on the river bank at Sonari, Domuhani. On this occasion, Swarnarekha river was worshiped with the aarti.

Environment expert Dr. Dinesh Mishra, social worker and industrialist Ramesh Agarwal, president of Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ashok Bhalotia, and retired teacher of the Department of Zoology, Jamshedpur Co-operative College KK Sharma was also present. Members of the Swarnarekha Vikas Trust and the guests present arrived at the river bank, where Pandit Vinod Pandey performed the puja with the law.

After the Puja, Ashok Goyal, Chief Trustee of the Trust, said in his address that the program of Swarnarekha Mahotsav has been held for 16 years under the joint aegis of Swarnarekha Vikas Trust and Yugantar Bharti under the guidance of former Jharkhand Government Minister and Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy. There has been a continuous effort from the Trust to clean the river Swarnarekha.

On the occasion, Ashutosh Rai, Subodh Srivastava, Akash Shah, Pappu Singh Suryavanshi, Raghavendra Pratap Singh, Ajay Sinha, Sunny Singh, Mukul Mishra, Kulvinder Singh Pannu, Hareram Singh, Sanjeev Acharya, Beauty Tiwari, Praveen Singh, People from various organizations including Chunnu Bhumij, Santosh Bhagat, Arvind Mahato, Dharmendra Prasad, Vandana Namta, Kanhaiya Ojha, Jeetu Pandey, Mishtu Sona, Kiran Singh, Sushila Singh, Pankaj Gupta, Sunita Singh, Ravi Shankar Singh were present.
