Jamshedpur: Humanity should safely mark its limits before treading upon any area for development. Crossing the limits of development in an indiscriminate manner may lead to destruction rather than bringing about development. This was observed on Sunday by the state food minister Saryu Roy during the 15th district level conference of Swadeshi Jagran Manch at Chamber Bhavan, Bistupur.
Addressing the inaugural session of the conference as chief guest, Roy said today the world is thinking about using Artificial Intelligence in many areas of human activities. Moving towards development at a fast pace without thinking about its repercussions may lead to devastation of humankind, he said.
Addressing the conference as the chief speaker, Arun Ojha, national convenor of Swadeshi Jagran Manch said globalization was not good for a fast developing country like India as it was only meant to create larger market for the developed nations. The developed countries are eying developing countries just to sell their products and mint money at every cost without giving a thought to ethics, pollution and humanity, he said.
Ojha said the Swadeshi Jagran Manch members should strive to take their messages to each and every Indian household and make people aware of their rights, duties and responsibilities. People should be educated so that they do not fall prey to multinational companies, he said.
Also present as the special guest, SN Singh, Registrar of Kolhan University, said Swadeshi Jagran Manch was doing a great job by spread mass awareness on important issues of national interest.
Among others present on the occasion included Manoj Singh, Rajkumar, Amit Mishra, Rajpati Devi, Kaushal Kishore, Bande Shankar and Manju Thakur.
