CM attends Basti Vikas Samiti meeting in Sidhgora

Jamshedpur: Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Sunday stressed the need to intensify the ‘say no to plastic’ campaign in the city in order to achieve the goals set on World Environment Day.

Addressing a meeting of Basti Vikas Samiti held at Sone Mandap in Sidhgora, the CM said the outfit members should launch the drive against plastic in each and every mohalla of the city. He said people should be sensitized on environmental issues so that they may do their best to make the environment cleaner and better.

Das advised the outfit members to work day and night on social issues. He said the theme for this year’s Environment Day celebrations is ‘beat the plastic’ which has led the state government to launch the anti-plastic campaign all over Jharkhand.
The outfit president Khemlal Choudhary informed the CM about the outfit’s activities and progress made in the last one year.

Among others present at the meeting included Chandrashekhar Mishra, Jitendra Mishra, Naveen Mishra, Amar Sharma, Mukesh Mishra, Hareram Yadav, Manoj Srivastava and Dinesh Singh.
