Surprise inspection at State Food Corporation warehouses in Jamshedpur

 

Jamshedpur, July 24: Surprise inspections of the State Food corporation warehouses were conducted following instructions of District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal. Starting at 6 am, designated investigation officers, including CO Gudabanda, CO Chakulia, BDO Bodam, CO Baharagora, CO Patamda, Assistant Settlement Officer, CO Jamshedpur Sadar, BDO Patamda, BDO Musabani, and BDO Dumaria, carried out the inspection and physically verified the stored food grains and other materials.

The officials matched the storage and stock register of materials such as rice, wheat, sugar, salt, and grams stored in the warehouses. Additionally, they investigated the condition of the warehouses, focusing on maintenance, cleanliness, and security arrangements of the stored materials. A report was then submitted to the district administration.

As per the Deputy Commissioner’s instructions, the Block Development Officer, Circle Officer, Executive Magistrate, LRD, and District Supply Officer were deputed for the inspection of various warehouses. The Executive Magistrate of East Singhbhum was responsible for inspecting the Sakchi warehouse, while the Executive Magistrate of Dhalbhum oversaw the inspection at the Karandih warehouse. The Executive Magistrate of Ghatshila inspected Gudabanda, and the District Supply Officer conducted checks at Burmamines, Patamda, Bodam, Dumariya, Musabani, Chakulia, and Baharagora warehouses. The inspection of Potka and Dhalbhumgarh warehouses was conducted by the concerned Circle Officer.
