Jamshedpur Administration launches ‘Naam Jancho’ Campaign

Jamshedpur: As per the instructions of the State Election Commission, the #NaamJancho campaign will be conducted throughout the district on Thursday, 25th July. This campaign will run for one hour from 12 noon to 1 pm. In a press conference held at the Collectorate Auditorium, District Election Officer Ananya Mittal addressed the media, providing details about the campaign. He appealed to every voter in the district to participate by visiting their polling station to verify their name in the draft voter list. This can also be done through the Voter Helpline App or the websites https://voters.eci.gov.in/login and https://ceo.jharkhand.gov.in.

During this verification, voters are encouraged to take a photo or selfie, use the hashtag #NaamJancho, and tag @ceojharkhand and @DcEastSinghbhum. These should then be posted on social media platforms such as X (formerly Twitter), YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook. If any discrepancies are found, voters should submit applications for registration or corrections.

Mittal also informed that, following the Election Commission of India’s directives, the second special summary revision program 2024 will be conducted in the district. The draft of the voter list will be published on 25th July. Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will be present at all polling stations with copies of the draft voter list and necessary forms (6, 7, and 8) to assist the public and receive filled forms for voter registration and corrections.

Applications can be submitted at BLO/AERO/ERO offices or online at https://voters.eci.gov.in/login. Forms are available for free and can also be submitted during special camps on specified dates.
