Jamshedpur: The Inter-JDC Carrom Tournament 2026 for men and women wrapped up with high-octane matches and exceptional sportsmanship displayed across various departments.
The event featured a strong turnout of 96 participants. The Men’s category saw 62 players competing across 16 teams, while the Women’s category included 34 participants representing nine teams.
Women’s Category Results
The Supply Chain department emerged as the winner, outperforming its rivals to secure the top spot. LD3 followed as the runners-up, with HSM finishing in third place as the second runners-up.
Men’s Category Results
In the Men’s division, Blast Furnace claimed the championship title after a series of competitive rounds. The HSM team secured the runners-up position, while Spares Manufacturing took home the second runners-up trophy.
The tournament progressed under the technical supervision of officials Tilak Ram, Jaswant Sahu, Ajay Hembrom, and A.K. Singh.
Captain Manish Sinha, Head of Sports (Events & Training Centres) at Tata Steel, attended as the Chief Guest. While congratulating the participants and winners, he said that such sporting events are vital for fostering teamwork, discipline, and employee engagement within the organization.
