Jamshedpur: The Tata Steel Summer Camp 2026 has achieved a major milestone with registrations surging past the 2,500 mark. Tata Steel announced several new initiatives aimed at creativity, safety, and parent engagement to further enrich the camp experience.
The company confirmed that enrollment remains open. Organizers are encouraging parents to secure spots for their children to participate in what has become a premier developmental event in the city.
To blend environmental awareness with creativity, the camp will host a painting competition in partnership with the Tata Steel Environment Department and Fevicreate by Pidilite. This collaboration invites children to explore sustainability through art.
Safety, a core value of Tata Steel, also takes centre stage this year. The camp introduced a specialized safety module featuring Nukkad Nataks (street plays). These interactive performances will teach children vital safety protocols for home, school, and road environments in an entertaining format.
This year, the camp has expanded its focus to include waiting parents. While children attend their modules, parents can participate in curated wellness sessions and hobby workshops. The experience concludes with a social hour near the swimming pool, where families can enjoy refreshments provided by partner Fruit and Gru.
“Crossing 2,500 registrations reflects the immense trust the community places in our programming,” said Mukul Vinayak Choudhari, Chief Sports, Tata Steel. He emphasized that by integrating elements like the painting competition and safety sessions, the Foundation ensures the camp offers holistic learning alongside sports and recreation.
