Jamshedpur: Summer Funk 6, a four-day summer camp, started on Thursday at Tata Steel Zoological Park under the aegis of Steel City and Surabhi branches of Marwari Yuva Manch. It was inaugurated by BDO Parul Singh who lit the ceremonial lamp to announce the event open.
Addressing the event, the BDO said that organizing outdoor activities honed the skills of children and made them smart. She praised the outfit members for coming up with the idea of organizing summer camp for children.
The outfit president Ajay Chetani and Surabhi branch president Anju Chetani said a total of 104 children from different parts of the city had got registered for the summer camp.
The camp is being held in collaboration with Odyssey Wonder. It will be held from 9 am till 1 pm. Children will be taught various skills for their overall development.
Among those present during the camp included Vijay Anand Moonka, Arun Gupta, Vishwal Agrawal, Mukesh Gupta, Mukesh Agrawal, Ankuar Jain, Parul Chetani and Mamata Agrawal.
