Summer Camp at Tangerine School commences with First Aid training

Jamshedpur, May 17:  A six-day summer camp was inaugurated by educationist Jai Hari Singh Munda at Potka Government Upgraded Middle School, Tangerine. This summer camp that was inaugurated on Tuesday, May 17, will continue till May 22 between 7 am and 9 pm every day. The children will be trained in painting by well-known artists and experts of Jamshedpur. On the first day of the summer camp, the participants were trained in first aid, painting and athletics.

Shyam Kumar of Red Cross Society explained and elaborated on several facets of first aid. The participating children were informed of the various methods of providing first aid to accident injured persons like bone fracture, blood and burns. Rupesh Kumar gave important tips on putting up plays, Satya Sundar Karmakar introduced the children to the art of painting while Nita Chowdhury provided training in various dance forms. Dobo Chakia gave practical demonstrations on different methods of exercise.

Social worker Ujjwal Kumar Mandal who was present during the inaugural ceremony informed that the students of Potka Government Upgraded Middle School in Tangrine which was in a remote tribal dominated area on the Orissa border, had no idea of a summer camp and appreciated the school Principal, Arvind Kumar Tiwary for his tireless efforts to make the students aware of this event that included the platform for fun learning.
