Ranchi, March 28 (IANS) Sukhdev Singh, a 1987 batch IAS officer, will be the next Chief secretary of Jharkhand, according to a notification issued by the state government on Saturday.
He will replace present incumbent D.K. Tewary, a 1986 batch IAS officer who is retiring on March 31.
Sukhdev Singh is currently Development Commissioner and holds additional charge of Home Department.
As per notification, his new posting will be effective from April 1.
The state government has also appointed 1994 IAS officer Rajiv Arun Ekkka as Principal secretary of Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
