Jamshedpur : The students of the D B MS under the banner of Junior Safe Club, Jamshedpur took a small step forward by participating in a rally to spread awareness on safe Diwali.

The rally was taken out in the neighbouring areas of the school, to spread the message of celebrating the festival of Lights (Diwali – 2014) in a different and safe way.

The students carried placards carrying messages such as Dont burst crackers burst your ego Burn your negativities not crackers I am Asthama patient help me to breathe.

They created an awareness among people to celebrate the festival in a green, clean, safe environment and to create an atmosphere filled with the spirit of mirth, love and happiness and not a night of gloom, despair, accidents, health problems and environment degradation.

Rajani Shekhar, principal appreciated the efforts of Safe Club moderators Mitu Banerjee, Sukhvit Gabri, Dhiraj Ranjan Ray and Udayan Nair.

The Dayanand Public School in Sakchi will also organise a rally and a nukkad natak for awareness against crackers. The rally will start from school campus march up to Security flat in front of Tata Steel Urban services gate and return back to school.

The ADLS Sunshine School will organise Diyotsav, a programme on a safe Diwali and a happy Diwali on Oct 22. Here the emphasis will be on how to handle crackers and the awareness will on which soundless crackers to use.
