Jamshedpur: National Students Union of India (NSUI) has demanded to revoke transfer order of mathematics professor of Jamshedpur Co-operative College Dr BN Prasad.
The students body has submitted a memorandum to the effect to the chancellor of Kolhan University via principal of Jamshedpur Co-operative College.
The memorandum states that Jamshedpur Co-operative College has only three math teachers against the sanctioned seven teachers.
In the present scenario if Dr Prasad is transferred to Jamshedpur Womens College, only two teachers would be left in the college.
It would greatly hamper math studies. The student body observed that Jamshedpur Womens College is an autonomous college and is capable of recruiting ad-hoc lectures.
Transfer of Dr BN Prasad will be a great loss to the students, NSUI said.
The signatories of the memorandum are Hariram Tudu, Shankar Tudu, Chandan Munda and others.
