Strict measures enforced at Chandil Dam: No tolerance for alcohol consumption, DJ banned

Seraikela: In a bid to ensure the safety and well-being of visitors to the Palana Dam in Chandil block, the Superintendent of Police, Dr. Vimal Kumar, conducted an unannounced inspection at Chandil Dam on Monday. The inspection focused on various aspects, including boating facilities, picnic spots, parking arrangements, and security protocols for tourists.

During the inspection, SP Dr. Vimal Kumar issued stringent directives to the Chandil Dam Boating Committee and the in-charge of the Chandil police station. The primary objective is to guarantee a hassle-free experience for tourists while maintaining the highest standards of safety. The Boating Committee received instructions to designate a danger zone for boating safety and install benches for visitor convenience. Vehicle parking was strictly designated to designated areas.

Of particular emphasis was the prohibition of alcohol consumption within the dam premises. The authorities warned that stringent action, including 24 hours of detention, would be taken against anyone found drinking or selling alcohol on the premises. The Boating Committee and Chandil Police were explicitly instructed to enforce this prohibition rigorously.
Furthermore, a complete ban on playing DJ music above the dam was announced. This measure aims to preserve the serene atmosphere and ensure an enjoyable experience for all visitors without causing disturbances.
