Stone pelting on Howrah–Tatanagar Steel Express

Jamshedpur, May 24: Passengers aboard the Howrah–Tatanagar Steel Express were left terrified after stones were pelted at the train near Jakpur. The incident occurred in coach number D2 between Balichak and Jakpur railway stations, causing the window glass of coach D2 to shatter completely.

This is not the first time such an incident has occurred. On January 20, 2025, similar stone pelting was reported on the same train, damaging windows of coaches C2 and D4.

In both cases, the attacks sparked panic among travellers. Authorities are investigating and have increased vigilance along the route to prevent further incidents.
