Steel experts discuss innovation, efficiency at Jamshedpur Technical Meet

Jamshedpur, Dec 12: The second day of the highly anticipated 65th Operating Committee Meeting of Blast Furnaces and Sinter Plants hosted by Tata Steel, concluded with enthusiastic participation from steel plant representatives across the nation. The sessions focused on (1) pivotal advancements in Process solid waste management and recycling practices in sinter plants and (2) tuyere life enhancement in blast furnaces, a crucial area for improving efficiency and reducing maintenance downtime.

Benchmark data was shared among the participants, fostering an open exchange of knowledge and best practices. These interactive sessions provided a valuable platform for addressing common challenges and exploring collaborative solutions.

A key highlight of the day was the delegates’ visit to Tata Steel Jamshedpur Works. Participants toured the state-of-the-art sinter plant and blast furnace facilities, observing first-hand the operational excellence and advanced practices implemented by Tata Steel.

The day’s proceedings concluded with a comprehensive feedback session and deliberation plan led by S. Dhara, Secretary, Operating Committee. Surajit Sinha, Chairman Organizing Committee, delivered the concluding remarks, emphasizing the collective progress and future roadmap for the industry. The event wrapped up with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks from G. S. R. Murthy, Convenor Organizing Committee, acknowledging the contributions of all participants and organizers.
